The City of Subiaco is reviewing the Local Heritage Survey (LHS) of the Daglish precinct to:

• identify and record places that are, or may become, of cultural heritage significance in its district

• assist the local government in making and implementing decisions that are in harmony with cultural heritage values

• provide a cultural and historical record of its district

• provide an accessible public record of places of cultural heritage significance to its district

• assist the local government in preparing a heritage list or list of heritage areas under a local planning scheme.

The foot bridge in Sadlier Park has been closed by the City because they’ve received a complaint that it is unsafe. The bridge was erected by the Water Corporation many decades ago when safety standards were more relaxed, so the City now has to assess the bridge’s condition before deciding what will need to be done to make it comply with modern standards. During this time people are asked not to use the bridge.
